A Simple Exercise to Prepare for 2020

First, let me apologize for going MIA last week. I try to write each Mindful Moment on Monday, and last week life just got in the way. Thanks for understanding.

This week, dear one, I want to expand on why I believe it’s so important to get your house in order before January 2020 comes rolling around.

As I mentioned before, the old energies are losing strength, and a new era is dawning. This energy, right now, and, through the next 6 months offers all of us a potent time for bridging where you’ve been and where you are going. It’s a powerful time to review all that you have been learning over the past decade and give yourself credit for that which you’ve achieved.

This is a time of endings, where your old stories are losing their power. You might find that some of the things you have mastered, that you have been focusing on, could be falling away and losing their importance to you. It could even feel like a time of loss.

You may find that you feel like you’re stepping into parts of yourself that are awakening after being dormant for a long time. It could feel like you are stepping into a bigger purpose. This is a beautiful time of opening your heart and listening to those things that you love most about yourself.

As you prepare for 2020, you may find yourself waking up to your soul mission. It may trigger you to look at how you believe in yourself. I believe this time right now is asking you to awaken to your power. It’s as if a blast of energy is coming from the universe and giving you the ability to bloom into the person you crave to become.

It’s said that 2020 will bring about profound changes and more energetic activations for what we are building next in our life. It is a time to step into what we are being called to do as our next assignment in life.

So, if any of this resonates with you, grab a blank piece of paper and a pen. Fold the paper in half, and in half again, so that you end up with 4 quadrants.

  • Label the top right quadrant MY MASTERY. These are the things you’ve already accomplished and mastered.
  • Label the top left quadrant MY PURPOSE. These are often the things that your heart loves about you.
  • Label the bottom right quadrant MY BELIEFS. These are the things you feel are true about yourself.
  • And label the bottom left quadrant MY NEW ASSIGNMENT. This is your soul mission.

Once you’ve got these quadrants labeled, allow yourself to meditate on each one, and jot down the first thoughts that come to mind. Often our first thoughts are the ones that are the most authentic, so I encourage you not to get caught up in the judgment of the thought but simply let them flow as you write whatever comes up for you. You can do this exercise as often as you like over the next few months to continue to crystallize your vision for the next decade.

I want all of us to easily align with our soul purpose, so after doing this exercise, would you let me know how it went for you? I always love reading your thoughts and comments, so go ahead and share them in a reply email to me.

Infinite ∞ Love,

Lyn
